Describes the community service provision in the public housing reform bill, P.L. 105-276, that requires non-exempted public housing residents to participate in community service and economic self-sufficiency activities in order to retain their public housing. Reviews arguments for and against the public housing community service requirement, and summarizes relevant legislation.
