Examines implementation of DHS U.S. Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (US-VISIT) program, an interagency initiative to collect, maintain, and share information, including biometric identifiers, on certain foreign nationals traveling to the U.S. Discusses various laws that require development and implementation of an integrated entry and exit data system, the status of US-VISIT, the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the U.S. (9/11 Commission) report, the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, and other selected issues, including US-VISIT scope and authority and implementation.
