Reviews United States v. Comstock, concerning extent of Congressional authority under P.L. 109-248, the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act, which authorizes civil commitment of sexually dangerous persons in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons or the Attorney General. Considers impact of Supreme Court ruling on Federal statutes permitting civil commitment on other mental grounds of prisoners scheduled for release, and permitting imposition of a term of supervised release to be served after inmates are released from prison.
