Contains transcript of Committee markup session on S. 2371, to allow the Department of Interior to promulgate regulations governing exercise of existing mining rights within national park system areas, to require the Department of Interior and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation to report on impact to affected historic sites and structures of actual and potential surface mining, and to repeal provisions of existing law which permit application of the Mining Law of 1972 to certain units of the national park system.
