- Story based on a young girl's way of coping with the very snowy few years in the mid 1990s in Centre County, Pennsylvania by cutting out colorful paper flowers and birds and butterflies to tape to the windows to bring in spring. At the end of the book there are two pages of "Construction paper flowers", designs to be cut out for a window flower garden. The author/illustrator designed and printed this book to accompany her Schreyer Honors College thesis project at Penn State University on the history of storybooks and the how story books are made.
