"Of the 'Paintings of William Blake' 1150 copies only have been printed. Of these, 900 copies (of which 210 are reserved for United States of America) constitute the ordinary edition; 250 numbered copies, printed on Van Gelder paper, bound in pigskin with an extra plate in colour, and accompanied by a portfolio containing a complete set of plates, constitute the édition de luxe."
Each plate, including colored frontispiece, is accompanied by guard sheet with descriptive letterpress.
Rare Books copy is signed by the author and is number 2 of the édition de luxe.
