- Summary
- Dr. Renshaw utilizes principles of Sex Therapy to empower and educate clients about their sexuality and help them to work through sexual dysfunctions or problems. In this video, Renshaw works with Jennifer, a young woman in a troubled marriage with a young child who loves her husband but struggles to stay with him. The absent husband abuses alcohol and has been cold towards Jennifer ever since she became pregnant, driving Jennifer to flee to her parents' houses on a number of occasions. Renshaw is able to listen, ask questions, and establish the problem through frank dialogue. She identifies that there are both positives and negatives to the relationship, and that ultimately it's Jennifer's decision how she will proceed with her marriage--divorce is not the only answer.
