- Summary
- The result and theoretical interpretation of (π⁺,K⁺) experiments carried out at Brookhaven are summarized. Shell-model calculations are used to illustrate the precise spectroscopic studies of Λ hypernuclei which could be carried out using the intense pion beams and good energy resolution for (π⁺,K⁺), (π⁺,K⁺γ) and possibly (π{sup −},K°) reactions at PILAC. 24 refs., 4 figs.
