"The life of Colonel Church [by Ezra Stiles]": p. 195-198. Dr. Stiles practically edited the book. See extracts from his diary, cited in Dexter's ed. of Church, Boston, 1865, p. ix.

Pages 193 thru 198 are either missing or partially missing.
The first edition, entitled "Entertaining passages relating to Philip's war ... " Boston, 1716, is without illustrations.
The frontispiece "Col. Benjamin Church. P. Rever sc." is a copy of a portrait of the poet, Charles Churchill, published in the "Court miscellany and Gentlemen and ladies' magazine", Sept. 1768. Rever has place a powderhorn around the neck, and the features have suffered somewhat through his handling. See the photographic reproductions of the above mentioned portrait of Churchill and of Revere's plate, in Mass. Hist. Soc. Proceedings, 1881-82, v. 19, p. 243-245, with remarks by Charles Deane.
