- Summary
- There is evidence from the D(..gamma..,p)n reaction that the meson-exchange model is failing in the GeV region. Surprisingly, it appears that the new (D..gamma..,p)n data favor the energy dependence of the nuclear chromodynamics model rather that of the meson-exchange model. Application of the polarization method to electron scattering studies is in its infancy, and it is potentially a very powerful technique. The internal target method coupled with laser-driven polarized targets should represent an important tool for nuclear physics.
