Summary
Environmental noise data were obtained at eleven selected sites around the Pittsburgh Energy Research Center's SYNTHANE plant at Bruceton, Pennsylvania. The data revealed that noise emission from the plant has a significant impact upon an area as far as about a mile to the east of the plant. It is recommended that additional data be obtained when the plant is operating at its design capacity.
