Publisher's russet-orange cloth stamped in green and grey-cream on cover with nearly symmetrical design of ivy leaves and small berries; double ruled border, title panel and lettering in grey-cream on cover. Unsigned design by Frank Hazenplug originally used on Herbert Stone edition of Emma Rayner's In castle & colony, 1899. Duffield acquired Stones's stamping dies and plates along with rights to editions in 1906.
