Summary
This paper compares Fidel Castro with the heroic literary archetypes of Miguel de Cervantes' The Adventures of Don Quixote and Herman Melville's Moby Dick. The author suggests that Melville's Captain Ahab character, who portrays the hubris-nemesis conflict that also afflicts Fidel Castro, might provide some insight into Castro.
