- Summary
- The present phenomenological understanding of the photovoltaic effect and solar cells is discussed. Unexplained questions and problems with the effects of various device parameters on the current-voltage characteristics are discussed, and the need for more sophisticated theoretical analyses of photovoltaic cells is stressed. 26 references.
