Summary

The energy conservation program undertaken by ARHCO to reduce energy consumption in the operation of the fuels reprocessing and waste management facilities on the Hanford reservation is described. This program includes fuel conservation for transportation equipment at the facilities, minimizing power requirements for lighting and air conditioning buildings, and reducing the energy demands of the processes used.
