- Summary:
- A new hardware/software system has been implemented using the existing three-regions-of-interest method for determining the concentration of ²²⁶Ra in soil samples for the Pollutant Assessment Group of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Consisting of a personal computer containing a multichannel analyzer, the system utilizes a new program combining the multichannel analyzer with a program analyzing gamma-radiation spectra for ²²⁶Ra concentrations. This program uses a menu interface to minimize and simplify the tasks of system operation.
