- Summary
- A study of seismic interactions between the primary tank and core barrel is presented. The study indicates that the distance of the core barrel from the primary tank wall plays an important role in the determination of the frequencies of the primary system. When the distance between the core barrel and primary tank wall is reduced, the frequencies of the primary tank and core barrel are also reduced. Also observed is the beating phenomenon of these two frequencies. This becomes more pronounced when the difference between these two frequencies is small.
