- Summary
- The effects of cure and postcure conditions on the mechanical and thermal properties of a syntactic foam made from a polyimide resin and glass microbubbles were measured. Compressive properties at 25 and 150/sup 0/C and tensile properties at 25/sup 0/C are given for foams cured from 1.5 to 24 hours at 175 to 250/sup 0/C. Thermal properties were measured using differential scanning calorimetry, thermomechanical analysis, dielectric spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis.
