The Muon (g-2) Experiment (E821) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) started data taking in 1997. The latest result a{sub μ⁺} = 11659202(14)(6) x 10⁻¹°, based on statistics of about 1 billion decays collected in 1999, is in good agreement with the previous measurement. With the precision of 1.3 ppm, the result, compared with the Standard Model evaluation a{sub μ}(SM) = 11659159.6(6.7) x 10⁻¹°, shows a difference of a{sub μ}(exp)-a{sub μ}(SM) = 43(16) x 10⁻¹°.
