This collection consists of five photographic images (black and white) of the Wheel Pump Hotel and Cafe (mounted on fiber board stock), circa late 1890s to the early 1900s, in Erdenheim (Springfield Township), Pennsylvania. Located near the Bethlehem Pike, the historic hotel traces its origins to an early inn built in 1735 to serve travelers along the early colonial road. In the latter part of the twentieth century the hotel functioned mainly as a restaurant, later as Ruth's Lamp and Shades, and presently the offices of BQ Basement Systems (owner Brian Quinn).
