Examines structure and operation of SBA small business investment company (SBIC) program, which enhances small business access to venture capital. Focuses on SBIC types, eligibility requirements, application process, capital investment requirements, key differences among regular SBIC types, SBIC investments in small businesses, leverage, reporting requirements, and program statistics.
