- Wheatley Dramatic Association was located in Wheatley Dramatic Hall, 511 S. 5th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. in 1888. Wheatley Dramatic Association was named for a popular Philadelphia actor and theatre manager, William Wheatley (1816-1876), at the time co-manager and director with Mr. John Drew the Elder at the Arch Street Theatre.
