Summary:

The film tells the story of a perfect world, where everyone is happy. When Jonas is twelve years-old, he's chosen to be the Receiver of Memories. He enters into training with an old man called The Giver who teaches Jonas about all the unhappy truths. Jonas is confronted with reality and must make difficult choices about his own life and future. Marco Beltrami has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Original Score for his work on 3:10 to Yuma and the Hurt Locker.
