Broadside letter dated 7 July 1821, from outgoing governor Colonel José Coppinger to the people of East Florida, just prior to the July 10th, 1821 transfer of Florida from Spanish control to that of the United States, following its cession in the 1819 treaty. The broadside encourages the evacuation of East Florida citizens to Cuba and other holdings of the Spanish monarchy.
