Full calf; gilt labels on spines./ "With the bookplate of William Constable, esq., F.R.S. & F.A.S."/ Provenance: James Rimington; George Baron Ferres of Chartley./ "Leather with a few minor nicks and insect damage, but the bindings extremely pleasing, with only negligible wear. Two branching wormholdes in preliminary leaves of volume 1 (a half dozen letters touched in contents and preface), similar hole in lower margin in one quire in second volume (no loss to text in either case), the leaves generally a shade less than bright, but a fine copy in every other respect, and especially fresh and clean".
