- This collection consists of approximately 110 World War II-era greeting cards documenting social history and popular culture during World War II. The bulk of the greeting cards, which cover all occasions (birthdays, holidays, Valentines Day, Mothers' Day), were sent by family, friends, and loved ones to servicemen during the War, as well as soldiers sending greeting cards to loved ones back home. The cards are organized under broad subject categories: Patriotism, Soldiers' Mothers; Depictions of Children as Soldiers; To Soldiers; and all sorts.
