UP-PAT copy: From the library of Luis Alberto Sánchez. Dr. Sánchez (1900-1994) was a Peruvian politician, author, and founding member of the left-leaning American Popular Revolutionary Alliance (APRA) party. A leading authority on Latin American literature, his academic career included years as a professor, and later rector, at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He served as Vice President of Peru from 1985-1990.
