Founded by students in 1970, Eco Action is Penn State's oldest envrionmental student group. Eco Action is a student activism group, and its members have advocated for many environmental causes including recycling, renewable energy sources, and Earth Day. This collection includings scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, fliers, and photographs documenting the environmental activism of Eco Action.
Alison Kelly transferred these materials to Penn State in 2017. These materials were created by Penn State Eco Action and maintained by Eco Action officers. As officers left Penn State, possession of these records was transferred from previous officers to the new officers.
