- Summary
- Annotation The phenomenon of superconductivity has gained a newinterest since the recent discovery of materials withtransition temperatures above 77K. The research on the newsubstances has increasingly contributed to the progress ofmaterials science. In volume III/21 the reported data on superconductingmaterials, from the discovery of this phenomenon to thepresent days of intensive research on high-Tcsuperconductors, are compiled. The data comprise variousmodifications of a material, e.g. bulk state, thin films, implanted or filamentary wires. Where available, dataobtained under high presure or after high energy particleirradiation are also tabulated. A particular effort was madetopresent not only the superconducting data for a givensubstance, but also the complete characterization of theanalyzed samples. This characterizationcomprises themetallurgical and the crystallographical analysis as well asthe analysis of other physical properties. The goal of the volume is to establish a complete andreliable compilation of critically reviewed experimentaldata, excluding purely theoretical works. The large amount of publications, more than 40.000 since1913, requires a subdivision of the data in severalsubvolumes, the second of which is presented herewith. Nosuch complete collection exists elsewhere, so that thesetables should respond to a real need of both physicists andmaterial scientists.
