The simultaneous transient developing mass and momentum boundary layers in a moving wall problem resulting from the flow of a fluid through a channel with dissolving walls is calculated. The numerical solution incorporates the vorticity-stream function procedure adapted to equations which are neither Lagrangian nor Eulerian. It is established that using conventional equations for high-flux problems results in error. The results give the channel shape as a function of time. A numerical procedure is used to determine the simultaneous development of the mass and momentum boundary layers from the flow of fluid through a channel having dissolving walls.
