- Summary
- Exposes how the foreign policy interests of American political elites -- working in combination with Israeli public relations strategies -- exercise a powerful influence over news reporting about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Combining American and British TV news clips with observations of analysts, journalists, and political activists, this documentary provides a striking media comparison, and an examination of factors that have distorted U.S. media coverage and, in turn, American public opinion. The first DVD of this set includes the 80 minute feature, 151 minutes of additional interviews, and 64 minutes of news clips. The second DVD includes 66 minutes of interviews, 260 minutes of short films by independent filmmakers and activists, maps, and a PDF document of links to 400 organizations and websites for further research.
Features interviews with Noam Chomsky, Hanan Ashwari, Robert Fish, Rabbi Michael Lerner and Rabbi Arik Ascherman, and others. - Subject(s)
