Rare Books copy: in publisher's original quarter mauve paper and marbled paper-covered boards; housed in later folding, marbled paper-covered chemise case with title in gilt on black cloth spine, the whole in a matching marbled paper-covered slipcase; contemporary neat ownership signature of "Harriet Verner" at top of title-page with her pencilled note on recto of frontispiece "Mrs. Verner Aix la Chapelle, July 1834; last two plates misbound, their intended chapter locations having been switched in binding. Bookseller notes this copy is most recently from the library of American collector Albert A. Howard with his small booklabel ("AHA") at rear, however, label is currently wanting from copy.
