Account book of John Lovett, ship captain and merchant of Beverly, Mass. Entries are for goods supplied to privateer ships' captains, mostly for 1777 to 1779, but there is a later receipt for October 8th, 1782. There is mention of the shipping of pistols and cannons, and a pub bet placed by Lovett on the coming rout of British soldiers from America.
