Volume II of an abridged and inaccurate translation of the first three decades of Herrera's 'Historia general de los hechos de los castellanos'. This volume includes the travels of Vasco Nũnez de Balboa, including his discovery of the Pacific Ocean, and the travels of Hernan Cortes, including his march into Mexico and meeting with Aztec ruler Moctezuma II. Details encounters with indigenous peoples and the discovery and claiming of lands.
