Note:
Frederick Augustus Bagley, 1858-1945, was born in St. Lucia, British West Indies and at the age of ten came to Canada with his family. In 1874 he joined the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) and served until 1899. He served in the South African War, worked in the Land Titles office in Calgary and resumed his military service in First World War. He moved to Banff, Alberta in 1924 and worked in the Museum of Natural History. He was also very involved in the musical life of Calgary, and conducted the Calgary Citizens' Band from 1903 to 1920. He married Lucy May Kerr-Francis, ?-1948, in 1890 and they had six daughters, Katherine Frances Clara (Hinchcliffe), 1891-1982, Mary Theresa Dorothy, 1892-1903, Helen Eva "Dolly", 1894-1894, Mary Patricia, 1900-1900, Fredrica Leona (Bent), 1904-1997, and Marian June (Connelly), 1907-1984.
