Michael Duggan arrive in Australia from Ireland in 1849 and eventually established a farm at Tarnagulla. His wife, Johanna Hogan was also Irish. Their son Daniel, became M.LO.A for Dunolly and Minister for Lands in the first Victorian Government. In 1882, Daniel married Mary Teresa, who died in 1961 at the age of 99.
