- Summary
- Film put together from newsreels and footage purportedly shot by Soviet cameramen at the front line and the rear during 1941-1945. The documentary was designed to teach modern generations, born after the war, about the great efforts that the people of the Soviet Union made against Nazism. There are images of the red flag on the Reichstag in 1945 and a speech made by Stalin as he oversaw the Soviet Army before they marched to the front. The film occasionally repeats footage already shown, but largely consists of original material tracing the story of the war all the way to the victory parade at Red Square in 1945.
