- Summary
- Drama recalling the events of the October Revolution from the point of view of the Bolsheviks in Moscow between 25th October and 2nd November 1917 (Old Style). The film depicts the formation of the Moscow Revolutionary Military Committee, headed by Viktor Nogin, and the efforts of the Bolsheviks to overpower the counter-revolutionary forces of the Provisional Government, whilst also dealing with hostile attacks from the Menshevik faction. The Bolsheviks attempt to break through the counter-revolutionaries' defences at the Kremlin in order to access a store of arms. The film includes battle scenes as well as capturing the drama of the committee discussions and disputes.
