A film on the conference celebrating the 50 years of the Soviet Union. The film is almost wholly based in the conference hall, where various statesmen from countries around the world give speeches, of which only small extracts are featured. Leonid Brezhnev's speech at the beginning of the film is the lengthiest of the speeches captured in the film. He talks about the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the achievements of the USSR fifty years on from its foundation. In the final few minutes the celebration of the Golden Jubilee in the streets of Moscow is captured.
