"To determine ways in which the efficiency and competitiveness of Canada's financial sector could be enhanced, senior representatives of the financial community and others engaged in a series of round-table discussions during the spring of 1992. The round tables- three in Toronto and one each in Vancouver, Montreal and Halifax - were sponsored by the Department of Finance, with valuable assistance from a number of interested organizations.
