Summary:

Clément Marot or the eternal "adolescent", as indicated by the title of his principal collection, Clementine Adolescence , published in 1532, when he is already thirty-six years old and had only a dozen years to live. This work, composed entirely during the reign of François Ier, is the clearest manifestation, the most obvious, Renaissance letters which flourished at the turn of the XVI th century. Work categorized by genres, where ballads and rondeaux blend well with epistles and songs, epitaphs and laments, polyphonic work often set to music, Clementine Adolescence is in line with medieval poetry, while modernizing, renewing and transforming it, ten years before the poetic revolution of the Pleiades arose, which will not be able to make it forget. Unstable poetry as that of the clementine Adolescence , dialogative, effervescent, never fixed, always repeated, but as we repeat a text of theater, discovering it and varying it at each recovery, poetry continued until La Fontaine and Voltaire , to rediscover urgently today.
