Summary
Description: Campbell, an upholsterer from Wanganui, left New Zealand with the Main Body of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in 1914, bound for Egypt. He saw action in the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915 and on the Western Front from 1916.His two diaries (see also MSX-4959) cover the period from 6 Dec 1914 when Campbell arrived in Cairo, Egypt until 1 Jan 1916 when he was stationed in France. He records his experiences during this period, daily activities, work etc.See also MSX-4959.
