- The collection contains two printed copies of a poem dedicated to Susan B. Anthony, "Elizabeth Cady Stanton, to her life-long friend and co-worker Susan B. Anthony on her eightieth birthday, February 15, 1900, " and a letter, 2 March n.y. [ca. 1890], to Dear Miss, noting that she cannot make out the name of the person who asked for her autograph and informs her of the customary practice of including a self-addressed stamped envelope.

- Elizabeth Cady Stanton was one of the 19th century's most influential social reformers. She is primarily remembered as an activist for women's legal and social equality, and was the driving force behind the Seneca Falls Conference and the National Woman Suffrage Association. She developed some of the movement's most important strategies, such as writing the Declaration of Sentiments, based on the Declaration of Independence, and demanding the right to vote.
