- Summary:
- In Papua New Guinea, where over three-quarters of the population cannot be reached by the regular advertising medium, a theater group travels the remote highlands performing soap operas devised around advertising messages for brand names such as Coca Cola and Colgate. Follows one rollicking mission by Elijah, Peter, Robert, and Tina -- all trained actors -- whose tour is complete with both vaudeville and chaos at every turn. Aluago, Tintiba, and their children, who live in the remote valley of Yaluba, see the theater group approaching for the first time. What happens as a result of their get together is entirely unexpected, as tradition clashes with the way of the future.
