Timothy Dyas served in the army as a rifleman in Company A, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. During combat operations in Europe, he was captured and spent the rest of the war in Stalag - 2B and Stalag - 3B.
