- Experiences are described for the application of the aerosol formulations of CIPC [isopropyl N-(3-chlorophenyl)carbamate] to potato storages. Initially, the application was developed as an ¿̐ưart¿̐ư. Mass balance typically accounted for only a small fraction of the CIPC that was used in the application. A mass balance model for a storage application is described. A mathematical model was developed and is presented. This model calculates an estimate of the amount of CIPC in the vented aerosol and the amount of CIPC in the air of a storage.
