Summary
Inert carriers are generally either inorganic minerals or botanical materials. These carriers can be divided further into granules and dust. The most popular granular carriers are the clay minerals attapulgite, montmorillonite, and vermiculite. The important botanical carriers are granular corncob and granular walnut shells.
