- This study examines the current practice(s) for estimating the duration and frequency of worker exposures to soil at U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region I Superfund sites. The objectives of the study were to (1) identify EPA's current policies and procedures for determining how long and how often workers may be exposed to soil, (2) assess whether evaluations of the potential risks for workers exposed to soil at Region I Superfund sites are consistent with EPA policies and guidance (i.e., does the actual practice conform with them), and (3) evaluate the acceptability/workability of the guidance (i.e., is it reasonable and does it meet its intended goals)
