The unconditional surrender announcement, President Roosevelt, with Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Great Britain at his side, reads to assembled war correspondents the text of a communique announcing that they and their staffs have worked out plans to bring the Axis to complete surrender. The correspondents are grouped on the lawn outside the villa in Casablanca where the President stayed.
