Description: Letter from Walter C. Meyer, USS Swift, to Orient Daley, New Orleans, Louisiana. Walter finally received a letter from Orient; mail service is slow. Writes that his middle name is Conrad, and he doesn't know why he is so tall; it "came about too gradually to blame it on any thing in particular." If she thinks it's hot at Lake Pontchartrain, she should feel the heat on the islands where he is.
